World Animal Day

Yesterday was World Animal Day. What is World Animal Day you ask? It's a holiday where animals are celebrated all throughout the globe.  World Animal Day also coincides with the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi. St. Francis [1181-1226] is the patron saint of animals. Churches throughout the world observe the Sunday closest to October 4th with the Blessing of the Animals.
